How to Order Your Wedding Stationery
Q. When do I need to start thinking about my wedding invitations?
A. From start to finish, the ordering process from initial enquiry to collection of your invitations can be approximately 3 months. We suggest getting in touch at least 6-8 months prior to your wedding, to ensure there is enough time to make your invitations, and allow for your guests to RSVP in good time. Usually couples send out invitations about 4-6 months before their wedding, with an average RSVP time of 4 weeks. Factors such as how far in advance the reception venue needs to know numbers for catering, or if you need to allow time for additional stationery items to be made, such as place cards, table plans etc, can affect this. Please ask for advice if you need any guidance.
**Please note our production slots get booked up fast, especially in peak season, so the earlier you can pre-book your slot the better, as this will ensure we are able to create your perfect wedding stationery for you.**
Q. Is there a minimum order?
A. There is no minimum order on any of our items, so you are free to order as many or as little items as your require.
Q. Do I need to order a sample before placing my order?
A. Although not compulsory, we do recommend that you order a sample invitation in your chosen colour scheme and fonts/wording, so that you can be 100% sure you are happy with how the finished invitations will look, before placing the full order. We can provide digital mock-ups in place of an actual sample if you'd prefer, but the colours are only as good as your computer screen so we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy on colours this way, although we do try our very best to make sure they are as true to life as possible.
Q. How long does it take to make a sample invitation?
A. Samples can take 2-4 weeks to make at our busiest periods, but where possible we try to get your samples out within 2 weeks. Digital samples can be made quicker as we don't have to wait for stock to be ordered in.
Q. How long is the turn around for ordering invitations?
A. Our turn around is 6-8 weeks for completion of your invitation orders, starting from the point you have approved the design and paid a 50% deposit.
Q. Can I change the colour of the design I have seen?
A. All of our designs are available in a wide variety of colours and colour combinations, including card and ribbon colours, so that we can match your chosen colour scheme. Please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss your requirements.
Q. When do I need to order my additional stationery items, such as place cards and orders of service?
A. We recommend that you order all your stationery at the same time. This ensures that we can book you in a second production slot, nearer to the time of the wedding, completing the items approximately 2 weeks before your wedding date. The summer Wedding Season is our busiest time, and therefore production time is at a premium and gets booked up very quickly. You don't have to confirm exact numbers until nearer the time, and you can wait until nearer the second production slot to pay a 50% deposit on the second half of your order, however, it is vital that we know if you are planning on ordering more items, so that you aren't disappointed if we are already fully booked.
Q. Can we order matching Thank You cards?
A. Yes. We advise that these are ordered with your additional stationery items, to either collect before your wedding, or after you return from honeymoon, but again ensures we have reserved you a production slot for these items.
Q. How much is p&p for orders?
